David is a passionate dealmaker and company builder with over two decades investment experience.
David has served on the boards of numerous private and public companies and has been instrumental to the success of Jefferson portfolio companies including Quack.com (acquired by AOL), iStar (IPO, acquired by PSINET), Wescam (IPO, acquired by L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL)), and Applied Terravision (acquired by CGI). David currently serves on the boards of Accept, Avotus and BorderWare; and on the advisory boards of NeoEdge and Storage Appliance.
Passionate about social change, David has served on the boards of several philanthropic organizations and is past chair of the National Board of Kids Help Foundation and Kids Help Phone, a leading Canadian kids' charity. He is a member of the Young President's Organization (YPO) and the Ontario Task Force on Competitiveness, Prosperity and Innovation. David is currently a special advisor to The Honourable Michael Kirby and his newly created Mental Health Commission.
